El piloto de motos del Tamarugal XC Rally Team, Claudio Rodríguez, cumplió con la largada protocolar en Buenos Aires.

For Claudio Rodriguez, the vision of Avenue 9 of De Julio was impressive.
“ Was wonderful to see as much people vibrating with the pilots and encouraging like in soccer. The Obelisco saw from podio ”, stressed Rodriguez.
After the route of the motorcycles, the turn of the cars corresponded, with the participation of the binomial of Javier Campillay and Darío Guzmán, also of Tamarugal XC Team Rally.

“Fue maravilloso ver a tanta gente vibrando con los pilotos. El Obelisco se veía chico…”, destacó el piloto Claudio “Burro” Rodríguez, debutante en el Dakar.
Este sábado larga oficialmente la competencia con su primera etapa entre Colón y Córdoba.
Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1 de enero de 2010.- No hubo tiempo para abrazos ni celebraciones. Sí para emoción, en la largada protocolar del Dakar 2010 en el Obelisco de Buenos Aires, en que unas 150 mil personas corearon el inicio de la competencia más dura del mundo del rally cross country.
Y el primer piloto nacional en pasar bajo el pórtico de inicio fue Claudio “Burro” Rodríguez, de 21 años e integrante del Tamarugal XC Rally Team, quien fue ovacionado por los chilenos que estaban en el lugar.
Envuelto en una bandera nacional que decía “Vallenar”, Rodríguez se hizo parte de la fiesta y manifestó su emoción y alegría por estar en competencia en su Husqvarna 450.
“Me acordé de mi familia y de todos los que me apoyaron para estar en este lugar. De mis padres, del equipo Tamarugal y de Vallenar, donde nací y una ciudad a la que queremos como team poner en el mapa deportivo”, destacó el “Burro”, un debutante en pruebas internacionales.
Para Claudio Rodríguez, la visual de la Avenida 9 de julio fue impresionante. “Fue maravilloso ver a tanta gente vibrando con los pilotos y alentando como en el fútbol. El Obelisco se veía chico desde el podio”, recalcó Rodríguez.
Tras el recorrido de las motos, correspondía el turno de los autos, con la participación del binomio de Javier Campillay y Darío Guzmán, también del Tamarugal XC Rally Team.
Luego de las presentaciones de rigor, vino el enlace hacia Colón, de 317 kilómetros.
Mañana comienza el Dakar cronometrado, con una especial en el caso de las motos de 219 kilómetros y enlaces de 433 kilómetros para completar desgastantes 652 km. en la primera jornada.
Para la categoría autos, en tanto, la especial cronometrada será de 251 kilómetros y los enlaces también de 433 km.
