“Burro” Rodríguez fue el segundo chileno más rápido en la etapa La
Serena-Santiago

Claudio Rodríguez fue el segundo mejor chileno de la jornada, después de
Francisco “Chaleco” López.

“La cuenta me la puede pasar el físico, pero estamos a cuatro días de
terminar, así que a aperrar no más”, sentenció el piloto.

Santiago, 12 de enero de 2010.- Claudio Rodríguez llegó en la posición 34°
en la última etapa corrida íntegramente en territorio nacional, como el
segundo chileno más rápido, detrás de Francisco “Chaleco” López.

En la especial de 238 kilómetros, el vallenarino logró superar a otros
destacados chilenos como Manuel Jamett, Felipe Prohens y Jaime Prohens.

Con este resultado, “Burro” mantuvo el lugar 41° en la clasificación
general, expectante ante la salida del país hacia San Juan, Argentina.

“Fue una etapa difícil, no tan rápida pero sí peligrosa y muy sinuosa. Había
unos barrancos realmente peligrosos. Me caí un par de veces en la gravilla,
pero nada terrible. Logré avanzar varios lugares y haber sido el segundo
chileno del día me deja muy contento”, sostuvo Rodríguez.

Después de sus últimas actuaciones, el piloto del Tamarugal XC Rally Team ve
con optimismo el último tramo de la carrera más dura del mundo, que espera
coronar en Buenos Aires.

“Cada día estoy llegando más cerca de los pilotos de punta, y la moto sigue
respondiendo, no ha fallado nada…Creo que la cuenta me la puede pasar el
físico, pero quedan cuatro días así que hay que aperrar no más, porque
estamos cerca del objetivo”, concluyó “Burro”.

En lo mecánico, la Husqvarna 450 recibió en el campamento de Santiago una
completa mantención del personal de Bimota, con cambio de suspensión
delantera para la segunda mitad del desafío.

Los chilenos dejan territorio nacional mañana, cuando emprendan el tramo
Santiago-San Juan, en Argentina, en una especial de 220 kilómetros, y
enlaces de 214 kilómetros.

"Burro" Rodriguez was the second fastest in Chile La Serena, Santiago stage
