“Burro” Rodríguez: “Mostré méritos y espero que sea el inicio de algo
grande”.
El piloto del Tamarugal XC Rally Team se manifestó emocionado en una jornada
que sirvió para recordar 15 días de esfuerzo.
“Con 21 años tengo mucha carrera por delante”, aseguró el nacional.
Buenos Aires, 17 de enero de 2010.- Nueve mil kilómetros después, Claudio
“Burro” Rodríguez, el histórico piloto más joven en terminar un Dakar volvió
a La Rural, en el barrio de Palermo en Buenos Aires, para coronar su
destacada actuación en la competencia.
La última actividad del Dakar 2010 significó para el piloto de 21 años una
explosión de sensaciones.
“No olvido lo que me costó llegar hasta acá. El esfuerzo de mi familia,
privaciones en busca del objetivo, un equipo como el Tamarugal que me
respaldó y al que le respondí en carrera, y la tremenda alegría de cerrar 15
días muy duros”, señaló Rodríguez.
El paso por el pórtico y la despedida de esta edición puso en sus manos el
trofeo que certificó su actuación en la 32° edición del Dakar, en el que
además fue el más joven de la historia en concluir la carrera más dura del
mundo.
“Si me decías hace cinco meses que esto iba a pasar, no te lo creía. Es un
regalo extra, porque me permite pensar que con 21 años tengo mucha carrera
por delante. Me llevo un gran recuerdo y espero que sea el inicio de algo
grande”, planteó el joven oriundo de Vallenar.
“Burro” dijo que espera tener el apoyo para seguir avanzando en este
deporte, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.
“Creo que mostré méritos y tengo ganas, fuerza y nivel como para hacer cosas
importantes”.
El deportista agradeció también a la gente de Husqvarna y Bimota por el
desarrollo de una moto que debutaba en estas lides, y que salvo un hecho muy
puntual, le otorgó siempre seguridad.
“Anduvo siempre perfecta, no me dio ningún problema. El lío con la batería
fue lo único, pero son cosas de una carrera como esta. Me daba confianza
saber que cuando quisiera acelerar iba a responder. Gracias a todos”,
concluyó el piloto vallenarino.

Buenos Aires, January 17, 2010 .- Nine thousand miles later, Claudio "Burro"
Rodriguez, the youngest driver in history to complete a Dakar returned to La
Rural, in the neighborhood of Palermo in Buenos Aires, to cap his
outstanding performance in competition.
The last activity of the Dakar 2010 meant for the pilot of 21 years an
explosion of sensations.
"I do not forget what cost me get here. The effort of my family, hardships
in search of the objective, a team like Tamarugal supported me and to which
I replied in the race, and the tremendous joy of closing 15 days very hard",
Rodriguez said.

trophy that certified their performance in the 32nd edition of the Dakar,
which also was the youngest in history to complete the toughest race in the
world.
"If you told me five months ago that this would happen, do not believe it.
It is an added bonus, it allows me to think that 21 years have much career
ahead. I take a great memory and I hope its the start of something big",
raised the young native of Vallenar.
"Burro" said he hopes to have the support to move forward in this sport,
both nationally and internationally.
"I think I showed merit and desire, strength and level enough to do
important things."
The athlete also thanked the people of Bimota Husqvarna and the development
of a bike that debut in these conflicts, and that unless a very punctual,
always gave him security.
"He walked always perfect, gave me no problem. The mess with the battery was
all, but they're in a race like this. It gave me confidence to know that
when I would accelerate would do. Thank you all", the pilot vallenarino.
