“Burro” Rodríguez y la Presidenta Bachelet: “se veía estupenda y me dijo
que me cuidara”
El piloto más joven del momento en el Dakar cumplió otro sueño: “nunca pensé
que iba a estar así con la Presidenta, hablar con ella y que me dijera
palabras cariñosas”.
“Es súper sencilla…Claudio, me dijo, eres el más joven, tienes que cuidarte,
piensa que tienes que llegar solamente”.
Antofagasta, 9 de enero de 2010.- En día de descanso, Claudio “Burro”
Rodríguez sumó otra sorpresa a su presencia en el Dakar: un natural diálogo
con la Presidenta Michelle Bachelet en su visita al campamento en
Antofagasta, quien al enterarse de que era el menor del grupo le dijo
“cuídate mucho”.
“Burro” quería estar con la mandataria y entregarle una polera del Tamarugal
XC Rally Team, y para eso la siguió por varios metros, hasta que topó con
ella en el stand del equipo de Francisco “Chaleco” López.
“Le pregunté a una de sus asesoras cómo andaba de tiempo, y si me podía
recibir y cuando me dijo que me acercara no lo dudé. Me presenté y le dije
que era el piloto más joven que estaba en competencia y le di la polera del
Tamarugal”, contó Rodríguez.
“¿Tamarugal?, qué lindo nombre, me dijo la Presidenta, y ahí ya pudimos
hablar un poco…¿sabes?, es como una mamá. Me deseó mucha suerte, que me
cuidara y me preguntó de dónde era, y se alegró al saber que era de
Vallenar”, detalló el piloto de 21 años.
¿Sabes otra cosa que me sorprendió?, agrega: “es súper sencilla…Claudio, me
dijo, eres el más joven, tienes que cuidarte, piensa que tienes que llegar
solamente. No se veía para nada incómoda en la tierra, al contrario, estaba
estupenda, se veía muy bien y muy bien vestida”, concluyó el vallenarino.
Desde este domingo, “Burro” seguirá sobre su Husqvarna 450, para mantener su
posición 43° en la clasificación, pero también cuidándose, haciendo caso de
la orden presidencial.
